This also goes for the cd of <strong>Roricat <\/strong>(ex-<strong>Tigress  Lily<\/strong>)  \tfrom Russia. Amazement and curiosity however, curious to what is more  to  \tcome.<\/p>\n<p>Electronics and a guitar create a slightly psychedelic avantgarde   \tatmosphere which is comparable to some recordings on StateArt and  Thisco.  \tWhile listening to <em>Uki Uki<\/em> I had to think of Grundik + Slava, Ultra  United  \tand Coil more than once, although the music of <strong>Roricat <\/strong>is more  soothing. You  \tcan also go back in time some more and then you can mention Spacemen3  or the  \tearly Kraftwerk kraut experiments. Warm yet minimal sounds in an  avantgarde  \tcoating is what <strong>Roricat <\/strong>has to offer and this is all very much  enjoyable.  \tEugene plays the guitar and produces the most extraordinary sounds,  drones,  \tnoise and beautiful melodies. Julica Rorica is responsible for the  vocals  \tand a fair amount of magic.<\/p>\n<p>Apparantly hesitating rhythms, broken  sounds,  \tacid bubbles and very beautiful melancholic melodies create music that  goes  \tstraight into your subconscious and hits a sensitive snare. Sometimes  the  \tcompositions arrive into more difficult waters and there are various  \tdissonant sounds clashing into eachother. But these know how to find a  way  \tinto your brain as well where they finally will make themselves a nice  and  \tcosy place as pleasurable sound sculptures, culminating into a release  of  \tmore accessible rhythms. Electronic sounds create a magical atmosphere  here  \tin which time has no relevance. The music starts to sound more and more   \torganic although it is completely electronic, except for the guitar.<\/p>\n<p>Do  not  \tthink <em>Uki Uki <\/em>is a serious piece of art, on the contrary, there is much   \thumor to be found. In the sounds or combination of sounds as well as in  the  \tsubtitles that are added to the titles on the tracklist. For instance  with  \tthe extremely beautiful <em>She Dives With Fireflies<\/em>, which additionally  \tstates: <em>\u2018\u2019a common underwater love story, he meets her, she meets him,  do  \tyou want more words?\u2019\u2019<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Ingenious!<\/p>\n<p><em> Grade: 8<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\"><strong>TekNoir<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Wow, sometimes you bump into a musical piece of art that leaves you in complete amazement.
